Muscat: Reinforcing its commitment to creating engaging community platforms, ahli islamic recently hosted a Car Carnival as part of its annual Ramadan Souq. The event took place in the parking area of the ahli islamic main branch, where the space was transformed into a gathering point for visitors, automotive enthusiasts, and participating car dealerships. Held from March 5 to 7, the event featured a daily car draw for 3 lucky winners, creating an atmosphere of excitement and engagement for all attendees. The initiative forms part of ahli islamic’s annual corporate social responsibility program, aligning with the spirit of the holy month and strengthening community bonds through initiatives that bring together social engagement and the values of Ramadan.

Commenting on the initiative, Noora Sultan, DGM – Head of Islamic Retail Banking at ahli islamic stated, “Events such as the Car Carnival reflect our intention to create experiences that resonate with people’s everyday aspirations while strengthening the connections between businesses and the communities they serve. The automotive sector remains closely tied to lifestyle aspirations, and the Car Carnival provided an engaging environment where visitors could interact directly with participating dealerships in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Hosting the event during Ramadan evenings also added a natural sense of community, allowing families and visitors to explore a wide selection of vehicles while benefiting from competitive offers presented by leading dealerships.”

Over the course of the three-day event, the Car Carnival welcomed more than 2,000 visitors, showcasing 32 cars representing 26 brands, provided by 8 leading car dealerships to offer a diverse range of vehicles alongside competitive deals, special promotions, and exclusive Ramadan offers. A group of car valuation, maintenance, and Takaful companies also participated to enhance the visitor experience and provide comprehensive services. The event provided visitors with a convenient opportunity to explore different automotive options in a single location while engaging directly with dealership representatives and learning more about the vehicles on display. Daily car raffles and prize draws further enhanced the event, introducing an additional element of engagement throughout the evenings and encouraging steady visitor participation across the program.

Beyond the event itself, the Car Carnival reflected ahli islamic’s continued efforts to pioneer thoughtful new dimensions to its community initiatives. By integrating an automotive showcase within the broader Ramadan Souq platform, the bank created a distinctive experience that brought together commercial participation and community engagement. The initiative demonstrated how well-curated events can expand the scope of traditional CSR programs, illustrating how community platforms can evolve to accommodate diverse interests while maintaining a clear social purpose.

Through efforts of this nature, ahli islamic continues to strengthen avenues for meaningful engagement during Ramadan. By supporting initiatives that bring people together around shared interests, the bank reinforces its commitment to programs that contribute positively to Oman’s evolving social and economic landscape.
