    • Air India express crew member held for smuggling gold from Muscat

    Muscat: An Air India Express crew member was arrested at Kannur International Airport for attempting to smuggle 960gm of gold.

    The incident took place on Tuesday when Surabhi Khatun arrived in Kannur’ (Kerala) aboard Air India Express’s IX714 flight from Muscat. Upon inspection, authorities confiscated 960 grams of gold from her possession. It is learned that the gold was in compound form concealed in her rectum.
