Al Mouj Muscat Marathon 2024 concludes

Muscat: The Al Mouj Muscat Marathon 2024 competitions concluded today, which witnessed wide participation by Omani and foreign runners residing in the Sultanate. Abdullah Al Quraini won first place in the 5 km marathon competition, Salem Al Rashidi won second place, while third place went to Nasr Al Naabi.

In the 3 km competition, Wissam Al Mahrami won first place, Shaheen Ghouri came in second place, while Zaid Al Dhamri won third place. In the 2-kilometer competition, Turki Al-Sudairi won first place, second place went to Aws Al-Fahdi, and third place went to Malik Ahmed. In the 1-kilometre competition for children, Tariq Birakader took first place, second place went to Mishari Al-Balushi, and third place went to Osama Al-Bahri.

Mr. Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SABCO Sports Company (the organizing company for the Al Mouj Muscat Marathon), said that the Al Mouj Muscat Marathon is the largest event of its kind as a sporting phenomenon for community participation in the Sultanate of Oman.

He added: We are proud as an organizing company for this marathon in cooperation with the relevant parties represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Omani Athletics Federation, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman Sail, Al Mouj Muscat, and commercial sponsors.

It is worth noting that the Al Mouj Muscat Marathon was accredited in 2018 as one of the most prominent sporting events in the region by the International Association of Marathon and Distance Races, and was also accredited by the International Federation of Athletics Federations.
