    London: Arsenal returned to the summit of the English Premier League standings after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton in their away fixture today.

    Facing pre-match pressure following Manchester City’s earlier win over West Ham, which had temporarily pushed them two points ahead, Mikel Arteta’s side delivered a disciplined and resilient performance at Hill Dickinson Stadium to claim three crucial points.

    The decisive moment came just before the half-hour mark when Everton defender Jake O’Brien was penalized for a clear handball while attempting to defend a corner kick taken by Declan Rice. Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres calmly converted the resulting penalty with a powerful strike, giving Arsenal a lead they maintained until the final whistle.
