China Successfully Deploys Spacesail Satellite Network Components
Beijing: China launched a new cluster of satellites into space today from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in the northern province of Shanxi.
The satellites were carried aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket and successfully entered their designated orbits.
According to Chinese sources, the satellites will form part of “Spacesail,” a large-scale Chinese commercial satellite network operating in low-Earth orbit.
The mission marked the 642nd flight of the Long March carrier rocket series.
