Covid-19: Philippines extends ban on passengers from Oman, UAE , India and 4 other countries until end of July

Muscat: Philippines extends ban on passengers from Oman, UAE , India and 4 other countries until end of July 2021, the palace announced on Wednesday.

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) announces the extension of travel restrictions on India, Oman, UAE, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal and until July 31, 2021, the palace announced.

The Presidential and Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed during his regular noon briefing on Wednesday,

Spokesperson Harry Roque added the IATF technical working group has also been instructed to review and provide recommendations on the appropriate testing and quarantine protocols for travelers coming form the aforementioned countries, and such other countries/jurisdictions which may thereafter be identified as high risk.

However this is the third time Philippines extends the ban on travelers until the end of the month to prevent the spread of the highly transmissible Delta covid-19 variants .
