Covid-19: Philippines-UAE flights suspended until Aug 31

Passenger Flights from Philippines to Dubai, on Philippines Airlines and Cebu Pacific will remain suspended until the end of August 2021, said airline officials .

In a statement from Manila-based budget carrier Cebu Pacific said: ” Cebu pacific has cancelled its flights to and from Dubai from August 1 until 31 August, 2021, to ensure that its operations restart smoothly and safety. This schedule realignment is geared toward avoiding any last-minute changes that could cause inconvenience to our passengers.”

A  spokesperson of Philippines Airlines (PAL) said to UAE local media: the airline had not received any confirmation yet on when commercial flight will resume.

However, currently on government approvals, “Special repatriation called Bayanihan flights will continue to operate between both countries,” the PAL official said.

On Friday, Philippines government extended the travel restrictions on ten counties, Oman, UAE, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal and Sri Lanka until August 15 2021.
