Algeria: National Athletics Team player Fatik Abdul-Ghafoor Beit Ja’aboub, earned the Sultanate of Oman its first gold medal in the 15th Arab Sports Games hosted by Algeria from 5 to 15 July.
Fatik bagged the trophy after he excelled in the high jump event in which he took firstplace.
Meanwhile, Oman’s Qusai Al Rawahi won second place and silver medal in the 100-metre paralympics race, inducting his first participation in the Arab championships with a personal record.
