Americas Derby Kicks Off Final Stage of FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025

Doha: The “Americas Derby” match will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Qatar, bringing together Brazil’s Flamengo and Mexico’s Cruz Azul as part of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025.

This fixture marks the official start of the tournament’s final three matches, hosted by Qatar during the rest days of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.

The winner of the match will advance to face Egypt’s Pyramids FC — the 2025 CAF Champions League champion — in the semi-final scheduled for 13 December. The team that secures qualification for the final will then compete against France’s Paris Saint-Germain, the UEFA Champions League titleholder, on 17 December.
