Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan Injured in firing at rally in Wazirabad

Former Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured in an attack on his protest march in the eastern city of Wazirabad, he is out of danger, local media reports said.

It is unclear that politician was deliberately targeted as one of his senior aides claimed, or if he was hit by indiscriminate gunfire.

Members of PTI party said another 4 people were hurt in the shooting,

Imran khan, aged 70, was leading the march on the capital Islamabad to demand snap elections after he was ousted in April

Imran khan was seeing begin taken to a hospital in Lahore. A part spokesman said he had been hit in the shin.

Another party ready, provincial health minister Yasmeen Rashid, said Imran Khan was in stable condition.

An unnamed suspect was later arrested, according to the Pakistan’s GEO TV.
