Hospitality is built around caring for people. Demonstrating this commitment beyond the hotel doors, Grand Millennium Muscat recently brought its colleagues together for a Blood Donation Drive at the Central Blood Bank in Bawshar, Muscat.
Organised as part of the hotel’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, the initiative saw eligible colleagues come forward to donate blood, turning a simple act of generosity into a meaningful contribution to the community.
The initiative reflects the wider philosophy of Millennium Hotels & Resorts’ Responsible Hospitality approach, which places people, communities and the environment at the heart of the Group’s corporate responsibility efforts. Through Millennium’s Green Path, the Group continues to focus on creating a positive impact in the communities in which it operates through employment, development opportunities and support for local community initiatives.
“At Grand Millennium Muscat, we believe hospitality goes far beyond welcoming guests. It is also about being present for the community we are part of. We are proud of our colleagues who came together for this initiative and gave something truly meaningful — an opportunity to help save lives and support those in need,” said Aisha Al Rubkhi, Director of Human Resources, Grand Millennium Muscat.
The blood donation drive, held biannually, is part of Grand Millennium Muscat’s continued commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for colleagues to give back and make a positive difference within the local community. The initiative also served as a reminder that meaningful community impact often begins with individual acts of kindness.
For Grand Millennium Muscat, the message is simple: some of the most valuable things we can give cannot be wrapped in a box — but they can help save a life.
