India announced T20 World Cup Squad, First match against Pakistan

BCCI on Wednesday announced the Indian Squad for upcoming T20 World Cup, with the 15-member in the T20 World Cup 2021.

The Indian Squad for T20 World Cup as follows – Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma (vc), KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami.

Standby players – Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar.

“Former India Captain MS Dhoni to mentor the team for the T20 World Cup” – Honorary Secretary JayShah, said in a tweet. 

Meanwhile, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has thanked “MS Dhoni’s addition to the side is a way to use his experience for the T20 World Cu. I  also ‘thanked’ MS Dhoni for accepting BCCI’s offer to help the team for this tournament, he said in a tweet.

India will play against Pakistan in its opening game at the T20 World Cup 2021 on the 24th of October, 2021.
