Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s preferred digital payments ecosystem, Khedmah, recently introduced scheduled bill payment automation, further elevating the convenience and seamless experience it delivers to customers. The newly launched feature enables users to set up automatic recurring payments for utility services such as electricity, water, internet, and more through a simple one-time activation.
Payments are effortlessly deducted each month from users’ linked Omani debit and credit cards, eliminating the risk of missed or delayed payments. Further reinforcing customer confidence and control, the new feature enables users to fix a maximum deduction limit for each bill category when setting up scheduled payments. Through this enhancement, Khedmah continues to reinforce its commitment to simplifying everyday financial management by offering customers a more efficient, reliable, and stress-free payment experience.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Mohammed Al Jabri, Senior Manager – Customer Experience at Khedmah, said, “At Khedmah, our focus has always been on delivering innovative digital solutions that simplify routine financial transactions and elevate the overall customer experience. The introduction of Scheduled Payments marks an important step in that journey, enabling users to automate their recurring utility bill payments with greater flexibility, control, and peace of mind. By combining convenience with enhanced payment management, we aim to help customers manage their monthly obligations more efficiently.”
A key benefit of activating this feature via the Khedmah app is the opportunity to earn rewards on every transaction through Khedmah Rewards. Users can advance through reward tiers and access a wider range of exclusive, tailored offers and discounts. These accumulated rewards can also be redeemed for savings on Khedmah Delivery, adding further customer value.
Khedmah is a comprehensive digital ecosystem, enabling easy bill payments across a wide range of services, including electricity, water, telecom, internet, mobile top-ups, traffic fines, social protection contributions, charitable donations, and vehicle insurance services – all within a single platform. By simplifying how users manage and fulfill their financial obligations on time, Khedmah continues to elevate the overall digital payments experience. As a key enabler of the nation’s digital transformation agenda, Khedmah consistently evolves and innovates its service offerings, setting new benchmarks for ease, accessibility, and convenience.
