    Muscat: Public Prosecution initited criminal action against 12 offenders for violating the Supreme Committee’s decisions. Violations include the ban on movement, gathering and non-adherence to home quarantine procedures.

    Primary courts in four governorates issued judgments during the period from 8 to 12 November 2020 against the offenders and sentenced them imprisonment to a period up to 3 months and fines up to 1000 OMR in addition to deportation from country for expats.

    Also On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, the First Instance Court (Criminal Circuit) in South Sharqiyah governorate convicted two foreign accused For violating the Infectious Diseases Control Law, as they were caught wandering during the period of the movement ban, and it was decided to fine each of them (1,000) thousand riyals, half of which will be spent.
