Minister of Health LIVE: Recovery rate decreases in the Sultanate due to non-compliance with precautionary measures

Muscat: His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Saeedi, Minister of Health, said during the press conference of the Supreme Committee in charge of discussing the mechanism of dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19) today:

Minister of Health: The low rate of recovery in the Sultanate is not due to the disease being more severe or fatal, but rather as a result of non-compliance with the precautionary measures.

Minister of Health: We are all the same in this country, and whenever we work together; The more we reduce the pressure on our health institutions

Minister of Health: The number of inpatients during 24 hours is 77 cases, bringing the number of inpatients to 556, including 216 cases in intensive care 147 cases requiring artificial respiration.

Minister of Health:  Since the Supreme Committee approved the decision to ban gatherings of all kinds; That decision has not been canceled until today.

Minister of Health: There is a state of severe anxiety that afflicts all of us, for the first time, we reach 220 people in intensive care one day for the same disease.

Minister of Health: I sent a general manager to one of the governorates, and he found that the health workers there did not enjoy a single day’s leave, and fatigue and exhaustion began to appear on them.

Minister of Health: The most important thing that can be offered to our children in the health sector is to reduce cases and protect ourselves and others.

Minister of Health: Unfortunately, you notice the continuation of gatherings on farms and other places, and I would like to emphasize that the prohibition of gatherings of all forms remains in place.

Minister of Health: There are health workers who continue their work for six months without a vacation, and exhaustion and fatigue have begun to appear on everyone.

Minister of Health: Unfortunately, some of our condolences led to others,

Minister of Health:  We appeal to all of you to be partners with the government, and reporting places of gatherings and violators is a national duty.

Minister of Health: Unfortunately, we lost a third person from the health sector due to this virus.

Minister of Health: The Ministry of Health is seeking with many international agencies and companies to provide the vaccine

Minister of Health: The indolence and complacency of some may cause the injury of people who have no guilt or the elimination of innocent souls and they were always cautious, but some, due to their negligence, were able to pass the virus to them and cause them infection.

Minister of Health: Whoever does not abide by the precautionary measures is only himself to blame, and everyone must cooperate and report violators.

Minister of Health: One of the most difficult things, unfortunately, in our societies is the spread of rumors and their incorrect transmission or exaggeration to the extent that they may cause a disaster or collapse in the patient’s family, which has a very painful effect on their psyche.
