Minister of Social Development appreciates the Royal directives to provide free laptop to students from low-income families

Muscat: Her Excellency the Minister of Social Development appreciated the royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik – may God protect him – to provide laptop computers to all new students enrolled in higher education institutions for the academic year 2020/2021 from children of families of social insurance and limited income.

Her Excellency affirmed that this group receives the constant attention of His Majesty, and these high directives come in support of this group to continue their education in all educational institutions at the university level without incurring additional financial burdens in light of these current circumstances that pass The whole world, which required students to receive distance education at some academic levels.

This generous gesture comes from His Majesty,  “to enhance the capabilities of his students in the field of information technology and digital communication to keep pace with modern education methods and means and distance education.
