    • Morocco beat Jordan 3-2 to win 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar

    Doha: The Moroccan national team won the Arab Cup football tournament after defeating the Jordanian national team 3-2 after extra time in the final today at the Lusail World Cup Stadium in Qatar.

    Morocco’s goals were scored by Oussama Tannane with a shot from about sixty meters at the start of the match (4) and substitute Abderrazak Hamdallah (88, 100), while Jordan’s goals were scored by Ali Alwan (48 and 68 from a penalty kick).

    This is Morocco’s second title after 2012, and it concluded a year full of successes in various age groups, while Jordan failed to win its first title in its first final appearance in the Arab Cup. Following its historic achievement in the 2022 World Cup, also in Qatar, when it became the first African and Arab team to reach the semi-finals, the pace of successes in Moroccan football has increased.
