Muscat Municipality issues preventive controls and measures needed in entertainment center’s located in Muscat commercial center’s (malls)
1, Place pre-printed floor stickers or decals promoting 2 meters physical distance
2, Avoid providing meals to customers,
3, Set the necessary guidance to delineate personal boundaries between individuals (2m)
4, Require all employees and visitors to wear face masks
5, Use contactless payments instead of cash and disinfect payments devices after use
6, Document the disinfection operation in a record with the disinfectant being mentioned
7, Place disinfectant dispensers containing 70% alcohol next to each game
8, Educate all employees with preventive guidelines and social distancing
9 , Customers are required to wear masks and gloves
10, Cancel customer waiting areas and seats
11, Operate at 50% capacity only
12, Require all workers to sterilise their hands periodically
13, Comply with hygiene and sterilisation standards established by competent authorities
14, Ensure the ventilation system works efficiently
Health Requirements & Controls to Reopen Amusement Games
1, Only operate half the number of games used in a single period, to ensure no overcrowding, while maintaining a safe distance
2, Stop holding entertainment events in the hall (example – hand mike)
3, Clean and disinfect single-use electronic games before and after use
4, Reduce the time period allowed to play each game
5, Avoid operating children’s games (balls, slides or trampolines), except for individual electric games provided to disinfect them after each use
Special Control for Game Arcades
1, Observe physical distance of 2 meters for games which requires driving or riding
2, Deny entry of children under 8 years of age.
3, Clean and disinfect all games and their accessories before and after use
4, Only operate half the number of games used, to ensure no overcrowding while
5, Start using a prior appointment booking system, taking into account a safe distance between visitors
6, Reduce the time period allowed to play each game.
7, Operate at 50% capacity only
Customers controls
1, Sterilise your hands before and after using the games
2, Avoid mass attendance as much as possible
3, Abide by the Hygiene Etiquette & Practices (covering the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing)
4, Customers take full responsibility to adhere to these measures, and to report any case of sickness or suspected to be so, or those who do not comply with these controls.
