MSX Records 1.32 Percent Loss; Foreign Investors Post Net Inflow

Muscat:  The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) main index closed lower at the end of today’s trading session, declining by 1.32 percent.

The MSX 30 Index ended the session at 6,246.50 points, recording a loss of 83.8 points compared to its previous close of 6,330.27 points.

Total trading value reached RO 42,888,934, marking an increase of 2.8 percent compared to the previous session’s turnover of RO 41,740,272.

According to the MSX market report, overall market capitalization declined by 0.548 percent, settling at approximately RO 33.33 billion by the close of trading.

Trading activity by non-Omani investors included purchases valued at RO 5.435 million, representing 12.67 percent of total trading activity, while sales amounted to RO 4.533 million, accounting for 10.57 percent. This resulted in a net foreign investment inflow of RO 902,000, reflecting an increase of 2.10 percent.
