Texas: An explosion at an oil refinery near the Texas coast prompted authorities to advise nearby residents to remain indoors as a precautionary measure.
Mayor Charlotte M. Moses confirmed that no injuries were reported following the incident at the Valero refinery in Port Arthur, located حوالي 145 kilometres east of Houston.
The incident comes amid rising fuel prices linked to ongoing concerns over global oil supply disruptions.
The refinery employs approximately 770 workers and has a production capacity of around 435,000 barrels per day, processing heavy, high-sulfur crude oil into gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
