Oman Airports announces passengers must book PCR testing in advance

Muscat: Passengers who wish take drive-through and within airports PCR testing must book advance.

In online statement Oman Airports says: Starting from the 1st of October, drive-through PCR testing facilities will be available at Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport to facilitate sample collection. Tests will have to be pre-booked and paid for (19 OMR) via Tarassud + app. #FlyConfidently

PCR testing will also available within airports and require pre-booking via downloading the Tarassud+ app. The app gives you a chance to pay the service fee of RO 25 securely before arriving at the airport to avoid waiting time in test facility queues.

If the tests results are negative, passengers staying less than 7 days will continue their stay in the Sultanate normally and follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.

Passengers staying more than 7 days are required to wear a wristband and follow a 14- day quarantine wether the results are negative or positive.
