Oman announces list of players for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers and 2027 Asian Cup

Croatian coach Branko Ivankovic, the first national football team coach, announced today the list of the team’s players for the internal camp scheduled to be held during the period from 7 to 22 November in preparation for the double qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Nations.

Oman national team will meet China Taipei in the opening of its campaign in the double qualifiers, on Thursday, November 16, at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bawshar, while in the second round it will face Kyrgyzstan on the 21st of the same month at Emini Dolina Omurzakova Stadium, and in the third round, it will meet the Malaysian team in Muscat. The team’s roster includes in goalkeeping Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini, Ahmed Al-Rawahi, and Fayez Al-Rashidi, and in defense Amjad Al-Harithi, Ahed Al-Hudaifi, Mahmoud Al-Mushaifri, Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Ali Al-Busaidi, Khaled Al-Buraiki, Ahmed Al-Khamisi, Muhammad Al-Amiri, Ghanem Al-Habashi, and Fahmi Durbin, and in the midfield, Musab Al-Maamari, Tamim Al-Balushi, Hareb Al-Saadi, Nasser Al-Rawahi, Moataz Abd Rabbo, and Omar. He added: Our list for the internal camp includes 28 players, and the camp will start next Tuesday, as we took into account the postponed matches that will be held today and tomorrow within the Omantel League, as well as the participation of Al-Nahda Club in Asia in the AFC Cup, explaining that all players are without injuries, and in full readiness after the return of Amjad Al-Harithi and Khaled. Al-Buraiki, with the exception of Al-Mundhir Al-Alawi, who is still suffering from injury.

Branko confirmed, saying: The national team list is open, and we have 50 players ready to participate, and we will call up players based on the team’s need. The camp list includes a number of new faces for the first team, in addition to the return of other names, and there is the possibility of calling up other names.
