Baku: A number of Omani businessmen and their Azerbaijani counterparts expressed their hope during their bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Second Gulf-Azerbaijan Economic Forum, organised by the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Chambers in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, to open new horizons that would contribute to economic, trade and investment cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meetings – which took place between the two sides – addressed investment opportunities and promising economic sectors that can be used to establish partnerships between the two parties in various fields, especially renewable energy, transportation, logistics, agriculture, food industries, and others, in addition to learning about the business environment, procedures, incentives, and facilities provided by both countries to investors, especially in economic and free zones, industrial cities, and ports.
His Excellency Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the Chamber seeks, through its participation in these events and business meetings that bring together Omani businessmen and their counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries, to provide them with the necessary information about procedures and laws and to provide support, consultations and guidance services to Omani companies wishing to enter markets, especially the Azerbaijani market; which would create more opportunities for cooperation and partnership and increase the volume of trade exchange between the two friendly countries.
