The Central Bank of Oman issued a warning statement saying: “The Central Bank of Oman once again warns all citizens and residents against using digital currencies / cryptocurrencies / currencies such as Dagcoin and other currencies, stressing that they are fraught with high risks due to their great fluctuation in value and the risks of using them in electronic piracy and fraud.
The Central Bank of Oman confirms that it has not granted any license to any institution or body to trade in cryptocurrencies or similar products or to trade in them, also it is not guaranteed by the Central Bank of Oman as funds and is not subject to the protection of Omani Banking Law No. 114/2000.
