Oman Ministry of Health: we have 3 types of sanitary isolation

Muscat:  Dr. Saif bin Salem Al Abri – Director General of Disease Control and Control at the Ministry of Health, within the 10th news bulletin, to talk about the implementation of the procedures approved by the Supreme Committee to examine arrivals to the Sultanate through border crossings.

Any person who has completed 7 days of insolation, can do PCR test, and if the result was negative, he/she is allowed to end isolation, remove the digital bracelet and register in one of the health institution.

1, The health isolation period will be 7 days, and the person can do the PCR test on the 8th day, and if the result is negative, the person can get out of the sanitary isolation.

2, PCR test will be required before coming to the Sultanate and It is 96 hours.

3, From 21 to 27 October, about 14,302 travelers were examined, 810 cases were diagnosed with the virus.

4, The precautionary measures will remain the same, such as wearing a mask and physical distancing.

5, All travelers will be examined in the Sultanate, and if it appears that there are differences in the tests, whether positive or negative, appropriate measures will be taken.

6, Data analyzed from passenger revealed that more than 75% of travelers coming to the Sultanate showed symptoms of the disease. It was during the first 7 days after arrival.

7, Isolation duration is as per the following three categories:

  • 7 days for travelers
  • 10 days for the injured
  • 14 days for contacts
