Oman National Shooting Team concludes participation in 3rd Arab Military Championship

Doha: The National Shooting Team concluded its participation with several medals in the Third Arab Military Shotgun Championship, held in Qatar during 2-9 December 2023, with the participation of (7) Arab countries in the skeet shooting competition.

The men’s team won a bronze medal in the skeet competition, Sergeant Major Khamis bin Muhammad al-Hinai was able to win fourth place in the men’s individual skeet shooting competition, and  Najat bint Muhammad al-Nawfaliyya won fourth place in the men’s individual skeet shooting competition.

As for the trap competition, the men’s trap team won a bronze medal, Sergeant Rammal bint Juma Al-Siyabiyah won the bronze medal in the women’s individual trap competition, and Air Sergeant Fakhriya bint Khamis Al-Jahafi came in fourth place in the same competition.

The external participation of the National Shooting Team and the rest of the military sports teams comes within the framework of the rehabilitation and training plans pursued by the Sultan’s Armed Forces to compete for military sports titles, as well as to enhance the level of sports performance, physical fitness, and technical skills, and to maintain the high level of the national teams that represent the Sultanate of Oman in forums.
