Oman Participates in extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at level of Foreign Ministers

Cairo: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated today in the emergency session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, to discuss developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the meeting was headed by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harithi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs. In its speech, the Sultanate of Oman emphasized the seriousness of the painful events to which the Palestinian people are exposed.

As a result of a brutal war waged by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of innocent children, women and the elderly, and bombing that affected places of worship and destroyed infrastructure and services in many places, causing the displacement of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinian citizens.
