Oman Participates in 3rd International Mining Conference in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Mohsen bin Hamad Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, participated in the third edition of the International Mining Conference, which was held in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The conference will discuss a group of topics, most notably issues related to mining in the region extending from Africa to West and Central Asia, and how to attract investments in mineral industries and technologies in the sector, and the application of the best sustainability standards.

On the sidelines of the conference, the first meeting of the round table of ministers concerned with the mining sector from various countries of the world was held with the participation of 80 countries, where the meeting discussed policies and legal frameworks to strengthen the mining sector, stimulate investment, and enhance cooperation between countries in the field of mining and investments.

Providing a platform for mining ministers to share experiences and knowledge, explore best practices, enhance transparency and develop governance systems in the sector, and focus on sustainability and sustainable environmental practices.
