Oman Boosts Esports Sector with New Strategic Partnership

MoU Signed to Advance Esports Industry in Oman

Muscat:  The Omani Gaming and Esports Committee signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Active Oman Center to support the development of the esports sector in the Sultanate of Oman.

The agreement aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and national efforts to advance the digital economy and support youth development.

The MoU was signed by Eng. Saba bint Saeed Al Busaidi, Chairperson of the Omani Gaming and Esports Committee, and Nawfal bin Salem Al Khanjari, General Manager of Active Oman Center.

The partnership aims to enhance cooperation in organizing tournaments and events, as well as developing training and qualification programmes to support national talent in esports.

It also seeks to raise awareness of esports as a growing sector that offers opportunities for innovation and competitiveness among Omani youth.

Both sides affirmed that the agreement will contribute to strengthening the esports ecosystem and supporting initiatives that enhance Oman’s presence in regional and international arenas.
