Al Yusufi Wins Silver After Strong Run at World Junior Taekwondo Event
Tashkent: Omani national team player Dawood Al Yusufi won the silver medal at the World Junior Taekwondo Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, following strong performances in the 48 kg category.
Coached by Fahad Al Yusufi, the player advanced through several rounds, defeating competitors from Egypt, Russia, China, Chinese Taipei and Kazakhstan.
The البطولة featured 986 players representing 115 countries. Al Yusufi reached the final, securing second place among 57 competitors in his weight category.
Dawood Al Yusufi is considered among the promising athletes supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, with his training programme overseen by specialists in sports planning and physical fitness.
