Omani Theatre Strengthens Cultural Ties with Russia Through International Festival

Moscow: The Al-Dan Theatre Troupe for Culture and Art presented the play “A Bite of Bread” as part of the official competition of the eighth edition of the International Festival of Chamber Theatre Forms, held in Kineshma, Russian Federation.

The performance was attended by an official representative of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Russian Federation, along with Russian cultural figures, delegations from participating countries, artists, theatre professionals and members of the public.

The Omani participation also featured an introductory seminar and press conference highlighting the troupe’s theatrical experience and the development of Omani theatre. Discussions also addressed the importance of international participation in exchanging expertise and experiences and strengthening cultural communication among artists from different countries.

The troupe also organized a small exhibition outside the performance venue featuring introductory brochures on Omani theatre and cultural activities.

The participation reflects the development of Omani theatre and contributes to strengthening cultural ties and bridges of friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation.
