361 Children Enroll in Association for Children with Disabilities Programs for 2026/2027

Muscat: The Association for Children with Disabilities welcomed 361 children today at the start of the 2026/2027 rehabilitation year, marking the beginning of a new cycle of rehabilitation, education and empowerment programs.

The children returned to eight rehabilitation centers affiliated with the Association in Al Azaiba, Al Seeb, Barka, Al Musannah, Saham, Yanqul, Dhank and Ja’alan Bani Bu Hassan.

The centers provide specialized rehabilitation and educational programs aimed at developing the children’s abilities and skills, while promoting independence, self-confidence and integration into society.

Several of the Association’s centers also provide pre-vocational programs designed to prepare children for future stages of independence by developing skills in line with their individual abilities and capabilities.

Khadija bint Nasser Al-Saati, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Association for Children with Disabilities, affirmed that children remain at the heart of the Association’s mission and efforts.

She noted that the Association continues to provide a safe and stimulating environment that supports children in developing their abilities and reaching their potential, in partnership with their families, specialized personnel and supporting institutions.

Al-Saati emphasized the important role of families in the rehabilitation and empowerment journey, stressing that integrating the efforts of families, the Association and supporting organizations contributes to achieving better outcomes for children.

She also called on private sector institutions, businessmen and individuals to support the Association’s programs and mission, noting that such support represents an investment in people and contributes to creating greater opportunities for children in rehabilitation, education and empowerment.

With the beginning of the new rehabilitation year, the Association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting children with disabilities and their families, while expanding opportunities for their development, independence and greater integration into society.
