

Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in Oman has published a travel guide about the readiness of the civil aviation sector for the gradual return and resumption of air traffic in light of the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic.
Before travelling – for departing travellers.
1, All passengers shall provide the required documents, and go through the examinations and procedures of the destination
country.
2, Checking in and finalizing all travel procedures online is highly recommended whenever possible.
3, All travellers are to fill in and sign a health declaration form to confirm that they do not have Covid-19 and its symptoms.
4, Travellers may carry only one handbag with them and an additional bag from the duty-free market to avoid crowds at the security points and in the airplane.
5, Passengers must arrive at the airport at least 3-4 hours before their departure time.
6, No passenger suffering from Covid-19 or its symptoms, that were indicated by the Ministry of Health, may be allowed to enter
the airport.
7, All passengers are to wear face masks in the proper manner in the airport.
8, Only travellers are allowed to enter the airport departure station. Non-travellers shall not be allowed entry except people with reduced mobility.
9, Omani citizens shall have health insurance valid include Covid-19 in the country to which they are travelling to.
10, Citizens and foreigners are allowed to travel from Oman without permit.

While travelling – for travellers in the airport and on the airplane.
1, All passengers shall have their temperature measured upon entering the building, and they will only be granted access if their temperature is below 38 c.
2, Social distancing shall be practised by all passengers at all times, and they shall adhere to the regulations and instructions, and ground labels that are used to maintain order at the airport.
3, All passengers are to remove their face masks to confirm their identity whenever required by policemen at passport counters, security points, or anywhere in the airport.
4, All passengers are to avoid being too close together during boarding and while being inside the plane. Social distancing is obligatory at all stage of travel and all instructions to maintain physical distancing shall be followed at all times.
5, All passengers are to remain seated in the plane during the flight. Only move when it is necessary or when asked to exit the plane upon arrival.
6, Those quarantined are required to report any Covid-19 symptoms when noticed and declare their infection if confirmed.
7, Hands must be washed with soap and cleaned with hand sanitizers after any documents exchange.Sanitizers are available in all airport facilities.
8, Whenever possible, it is highly recommended to pay electronically and use self-service counters at the airport.
9, All travellers shall keep their masks on for the whole duration of the flight.
10, All used face masks and gloves are to be disposed in the designated waste bins.

Travellers coming into the Sultanate.
1, Only Omani citizens and residents with valid residences are allowed to enter the Sultanate without the need
for prior approval.
2, All visitors are required to have health insurance that covers the costs of treatment with Covid-19 for a period of one month.
3, All arrivals shall download Tarassud + application before arriving or on arrival in Oman
4, All arrivals shall have their temperature measured and those with covid-19 symptoms shall be directed to the
designated clinics for examination.
5, Transit travellers are to abide by the instructions mentioned in this guide.
6, All arrivals to Oman are subject Covid-19 (PCR) test and pay the cost of services of RO 25 and the following:
a Arrivals to Oman for a period from 1-7 days shall register in (Tarassud+)
b Arrivals to Oman for a period of 8 days or more are obligated to wear Tarrasud+ bracelect and quarantined for a period
of 14 days
c Aircraft crew, and children from the age of 15 years and less are exempted from Covid-19 (PCR) test.
7, Foreigners coming to Oman must ensure the availability of adequate housing during the quarantine period.
8, Aircraft crew are exempted from the 14 days quarantine and subject to the precautionary measures issued by the Ministry of
Health.
9, Physical distancing must be maintained at security points, luggage collection, and at customs inspections.
10 Non-travellers may not enter the airport without a proper permit.
