Oman’s MOH Signs Agreement to Set Up Dialysis Unit at Sohar Health Complex

Muscat: The Ministry of Health and Jusoor Foundation signed an agreement to finance the construction of a dialysis unit in Sohar Health Complex at a cost of RO 1 million.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health.

The agreement was signed Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Ajmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative, Financial Affairs and Planning, and Jaber Sulaiman Al Busaidi, Executive Manager of Jusoor Foundation.

Dr. Fatima said that strong partnership between the government sector and other sectors in Oman serves the public interest.

On his part, Jaber Al Busaidi affirmed Jusoor Foundation’s keenness to cooperate with the public sector in aspects of development in Oman, which include health services.

Al Busaidi added that the new project includes the establishment of a dialysis unit in Sohar Health Complex on an area of 2,138 square metres. He pointed out that the unit will have a capacity of 21 beds and that Jusoor Foundation will equip the unit with the necessary medical devices and equipment in a manner that meets demand in the Governorate of North Al Batinah. – ONA
