

Muscat: Within the framework of its social responsibility and solidarity with the Sudanese Republic and its people, Omantel announced its support for the Sudanese people through its cooperation with the Oman Charitable Organization in a fundraising campaign to help the Sudanese Republic face the repercussions of the floods. Omantel also provided the Sudanese community with free calls to Sudan for a period of 3 days to check on their families and relatives.
Omantel called on all its subscribers to take the initiative and help the Sudanese people by participating in the campaign launched by the Omani Authority for Charitable Activities to donate via SMS by sending the word “Donate” to the number 90022. Subscribers can donate more than once to contribute to supporting those affected by the floods that swept most states of Sudan.
On the other hand, Omantel provided free calls to all its prepaid and postpaid subscribers to call comfortably and reassure their families in the Republic of Sudan, starting from Tuesday 8 September until Friday 11 September 2020, without the need to activate any subscription to obtain these free calls.
