    OQ’s Energy Pioneers 2026 Program Engages 270 Children in Skills and Innovation

    Muscat:  OQ Group has concluded its “Energy Pioneers” summer programme 2026, a four-week initiative that brought together more than 270 children in practical educational experiences designed to develop their skills, broaden their horizons and prepare them for the future.

    The programme was implemented as part of OQ’s social investment initiatives in cooperation with Omran Group and the Early Intervention Association for Children with Disabilities.

    It featured interactive workshops, practical activities and field experiences covering safety, entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, innovation, sustainability, tourism and Omani identity.

    More than 110 volunteers participated in the programme, contributing over 950 volunteer hours across its four modules. They shared their knowledge and practical experience with participants, linking professional volunteering with educational and skills-development opportunities.

    The programme also promoted inclusive participation through cooperation with the Early Intervention Association for Children with Disabilities, helping extend the educational experience to children from different groups.

    Saeed bin Nasser Al-Badai, Director General of Social Investment at OQ, said the programme reflects the Group’s approach to social investment by providing practical learning opportunities that enable children to discover their potential and develop skills for the future.

    He noted that the combined efforts of OQ volunteers and partner organisations helped connect knowledge with practical experience, giving children opportunities to explore, ask questions, build confidence and strengthen their teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

    The Energy Pioneers programme forms part of OQ’s broader social investment strategy focused on developing national talent and supporting sustainable economic and social growth.

    Through its community initiatives and partnerships, OQ continues to align its social investment programmes with national priorities and contribute to developing competitive capabilities and a knowledge-based economy in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
