US-Iran Peace Agreement to Be Signed in Switzerland on 19 June
Islamabad: Pakistan announced today that the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran have reached an agreement to end their conflict, with the official signing ceremony scheduled to take place on Friday, 19 June 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister said in a statement that the agreement was reached following intensive negotiations. He noted that both parties had agreed to an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.
The Prime Minister expressed appreciation to both countries for their commitment to resolving the conflict through diplomatic means, adding that mediators will hold a series of meetings this week to prepare for technical discussions and the official signing ceremony.
US President Donald Trump also confirmed that a peace agreement had been reached with Iran.
In a statement, Trump said that an agreement had been concluded with the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that maritime navigation would resume and that the US naval blockade on Iranian ports would be lifted with immediate effect.
For its part, the Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said that the agreement provides for a permanent end to the war and all military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.
