Al-Musanna Zakat Committee Opens Second Charitable Endowment Building
Al-Musannah: The Zakat Committee in Al-Musanna today inaugurated its second charitable endowment building under the patronage of His Excellency Engineer Masoud bin Saeed Al-Hashimi, Governor of South Al-Batinah.
The new building is intended to provide the committee with a sustainable source of income, supporting its efforts to provide zakat, assistance and charitable and social programs to eligible families in the wilayat.
Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Nofli, Chairman of the Zakat Committee in Al-Musanna, said that the opening represents an important milestone in the committee’s work and reflects the cooperation and solidarity of community members, benefactors, supporters and partners.
He noted that the project will strengthen the financial sustainability of the committee and enable it to expand the scope of its services and programs for deserving families.
The four-storey building was constructed on a 930-square-metre plot, with a total built-up area of approximately 2,040 square metres. It includes a commercial showroom and residential apartments, with construction costs exceeding RO 250,000.
Al-Nofli explained that revenues generated by the building will constitute a stable and sustainable source of income for the committee, supporting its efforts to identify eligible families, maintain their database and provide zakat, charity and assistance to those in need.
The revenues will also contribute to supporting and developing voluntary and charitable work in the wilayat.
The opening ceremony featured a visual presentation outlining the various stages of the project, the efforts undertaken to complete its construction, and the facilities and commercial and residential units within the building.
The committee also reviewed its programs and projects implemented during the past period, along with its efforts to develop the charitable work system and strengthen endowment resources. Its future plans and projects aimed at ensuring the sustainability of its activities were also presented.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, contributors, supporters, partners, government and private institutions, and individuals who contributed to the project were honored in recognition of their efforts in supporting charitable and endowment work.
The project forms part of the Zakat Committee’s efforts to develop sustainable endowment resources and expand the benefits provided to eligible families through zakat, charity and social service programs.
