Royal Academy of Management Board of Trustees Holds its First Meeting

Muscat: The Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Management held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Sayyid Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.

The meeting discussed the strategy and plans of the Academy for the next phase, along with the programmes it will launch. Through these programmes, the Academy seeks to develop national leaders at various levels of management, to broaden the horizons of the Omani economy, and to provide the public and private sectors with empowered leaders and qualified competencies in line with Oman Vision 2040’s mission to build innovative and future-ready managerial apparatus.

The Board of Trustees includes Sayyid Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, as Chairman of the Board and Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Vice Chairman. The board members are Dr. Mahad Said Ba’Owain, Minister of Labour, Dr. Ali Qassim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, Sheikh Waleed Khamis Al Hashar, CEO of Bank Muscat, Khaula Hamoud Al Harthy, CEO of Injaz Oman and Dr. Hatem Bakhit Al Shanfari, faculty member at the College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).

The Royal Academy of Management is under the honorary patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. The academy was established in January 2022 and it aims to develop national leaders at various levels of management in the public and private sectors through an integrated suite of specialised centres, initiatives, and programmes based on the latest concepts and trends in New Public Management.
