Muscat: Royal Oman police arrests two people in Oman for blackmail and extortion
In a statement online ROP said: that the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Investigations arrested two people on charges of threatening and extortion via social media applications with the aim of carrying out acts contrary to morals and public morals, adding that legal procedures are being completed against them.
The Royal Oman Police calls on social media users to report immediately when they are exposed to electronic blackmail and not to send personal photos through communication programs, and families and parents should educate their children about the dangers of these behaviors and follow up on their use of modern technologies.
