State Council Permanent Committees Elect Chairmen, Deputies for 8th Term

Muscat: The permanent committees of the State Council held separate meetings during which they elected their chairmen and deputy chairmen for the State Council’s 8th Term.

The council’s five committees are: the Legal Committee, the Economic and Financial Committee, the Social and Cultural Affairs Committee, the Education and Research Committee and the Technology and Innovation Committee.

The outcome of the electoral process was as follows:

Sheikh Sultan Matar Al Azizi as Chairman of the Legal Committee, with Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Al Rashidi as his deputy; Dr. Dhafer Awadh Al Shanfari as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee, with Dr. Amer Nasser Al Matani as his deputy; Dr. Muhammad Said Al Hajri as Chairman of Social and Cultural Affairs Committee, with Dr. Ohood Said Al Balushi as his deputy; Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Sarmi as Chairman of the Education and Research Committee, with Dr. Rashid Bin Saif Al Mahrezi as his deputy; Dr. Hamad Salim Al Rawahi as Chairman of the Technology and Innovation Committee, with Dr. Salim Sultan Al Ruzaiqi as his deputy.   – ONA
