Geneva: European stock markets closed slightly lower today amid cautious investor sentiment ahead of key central bank meetings and corporate earnings announcements.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell by 0.3 percent to 606.90 points. France’s CAC 40 declined by 0.34 percent, while Germany’s DAX dropped by 0.22 percent.
The UK’s FTSE 100 index decreased by 0.22 percent, whereas Italy’s FTSE MIB recorded an increase of 0.49 percent.
Market sentiment was also affected by limited progress in US-Iran negotiations, alongside rising oil prices.
