Muscat: The Supreme Judicial Council today held a workshop on drafting its strategic plan for the period 2024-2040.

The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Head of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.

The strategic plan’s drafting involves the participation of more than 200 specialists from 29 government departments, private establishments and civil society institutions. The plan will constitute a road map for achieving the council’s long-term goals.

During the ceremony, Al Jabri launched “Tawtheeq” digital platform, which specializes in providing notary public services electronically.

The platform provides 61 services within the first package and it is aimed at streamlining procedures, enhancing preventive justice and realizing comprehensive digital transition. The platform enables a notary public to digitize all documents, which will be issued in a unified format, a unified template and in digital procedures that will help avoid forgery, counterfeit and deletion, besides securing accuracy.

The council also launched its new website, which groups several platforms in one place. These include a platform for advocates, a platform employees and other platforms, all designed to give visitors easy access to the council’s digital website.

The workshop’s opening was attended by Sayyid Mohammed Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council. – ONA
