Beijing: During his visit to China, which came in response to an official invitation from President Xi Jinping, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will hold a series of meetings, according to a statement from the Syrian presidential office.
Presidents Al-Assad and Xi Jinping will hold a Syrian-Chinese summit, and the Syrian President will also attend the opening of the 19th Asian Games, scheduled for next Saturday on the sidelines of his visit to China.
Al-Assad arrived in the Chinese city of Hangzhou earlier today, as this is his first visit in about twenty years.
