Tour of Oman 2026 – (Stage One) – ROP announces partial road closure

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police -the Directorate of Relations and Security Information – announces a partial closure of traffic on Saturday, February, 7th 2026 during the initial launch of Phase One of the Oman Tawaf 2026.

Parking will be prohibited on both sides of the roads bordering the race route as follows:

The race will start in front of the flagpole at Al Khuwair Square in Muscat Governorate at 10:25 a.m. Competitors will head towards the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, then turn right onto Al Thaqafa Street, continuing onto the Ministries District Bridge. They will arrive at the traffic lights intersection in Al Khuwair, next to Doha Al Adab Street.

From there, the route continues north to Muscat Expressway towards Al Jabal Street (Aqabat Al Amarat-Bowsher), reaching the traffic lights at Al Mahaj Bridge.Competitors will then turn right toward Seih Al Dhabi Roundabout and continue north to Al Masra Hospital Bridge, then proceed to the Wilayat of Qurayyat, arriving at the Fens intersection
