Two Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrikes and Gunfire in Gaza Strip

Gaza: Two Palestinians were killed today in separate incidents involving Israeli gunfire and airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medical sources.

An elderly Palestinian man succumbed to critical injuries sustained in an airstrike that targeted a displacement camp in the Al Jawazat area of Al Rimal neighbourhood, west of Gaza City. The death raised the toll from the attack to eight, while 15 others were reported injured.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian fisherman was killed by Israeli gunfire off the coast of Deir Al Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes on the Al Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza and targeted a house east of Al Maghazi refugee camp in the central part of the Strip.

Hospital sources in Gaza reported that 10 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes since dawn today, including nine in Gaza City.

According to Palestinian sources, the overall death toll from the Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip since 7 October 2023 has reached 72,961, while the number of injured has risen to 173,092.

Reports indicated that Israeli forces continue military operations in various areas of the Gaza Strip, including airstrikes, artillery shelling and gunfire.
