Kuwait Reports Drone Attack on Power and Water Facilities

Kuwait: Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that two power generation and water desalination facilities were targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), resulting in material damage and the shutdown of two electricity production units.

No casualties were reported.

Ministry spokesperson Fatimah Jawhar Hayat said that technical and emergency teams were immediately deployed in line with contingency plans, in coordination with relevant authorities, to maintain the stability of electricity and water services.

She added that efforts are ongoing to ensure continuity of services, with technical teams working around the clock to address the impact of the incident.
