    • Volkswagen Oman sponsors the Basketball CO-League 2023

    Muscat: In a significant boost for local sports, Volkswagen Oman, represented by Premium Motors, extended its support to the Basketball CO-League 2023. The tournament was organised by the sports event management company Sports Mania in collaboration with Oman Basketball Association.

    The Basketball CO-League 2023 featured eight teams from various companies. This year, the league expanded its horizons and will be played in five different countries, including Lebanon, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar. For this event, the governing guidelines follow FIBA rules and regulations.

    Adding a touch of glamour to the event, popular Volkswagen models like the Golf R, T-Roc, Touareg and Tiguan were showcased at the venue.

    A spokesperson for Sports Mania expressed their gratitude, saying, “We are honoured and grateful for Volkswagen Oman’s sponsorship of the Basketball CO-League 2023. This support is instrumental in advancing the sport for future generations in Oman and the region. It not only enhances the league but also inspires participants and sports enthusiasts.”

    Sports Mania, a renowned name in organising a multitude of events in sports and entertainment, spearheaded the basketball event. With a history dating back to 2010, the company has a strong track record of successful events across the region, such as corporate and youth championships, team-building programmes, and charity sports initiatives. Sports Mania Oman was set up in partnership with Novaplat, an innovative business platform based in the Sultanate.
