Voltamp Launches Initiative to Localize Supply Chains in Oman

New Voltamp Initiative Supports Local Manufacturing and SMEs in Oman

Muscat:  Voltamp Energy, in partnership with the Public Services Regulatory Authority and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, today launched the “Localize it with Voltamp” initiative aimed at localizing supply chains and enhancing local added value in the electrical and energy industries sector.

The initiative seeks to enable entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as local and international investors, to establish industrial partnerships with Voltamp by linking them with global manufacturers and facilitating the transfer of manufacturing technologies to the Sultanate of Oman.

The initiative also aims to build a stronger local manufacturing base capable of meeting the needs of both local and regional markets.

Under the initiative, Voltamp plans to localize the manufacturing of 10 high-demand components used within its products, while transforming these opportunities into local factories that support supply chains, reduce reliance on imports, and improve long-term supply flexibility.

According to the initiative’s targets, it is expected to contribute to establishing 10 local factories with investments estimated at around RO 50 million. It also aims to sign pre-purchase agreements valued between RO 30 million and RO 40 million in local added value, while creating at least 100 jobs during the initial phases of the projects.

The initiative will provide sustainable supply opportunities for SMEs, in addition to offering technical support and industrial guidance to ensure the readiness of new projects to join approved supply chains.

Mohammed Ajmal Pasha, CEO of Voltamp Energy, stated that the initiative represents a practical transition from import dependency toward building sustainable local industrial capabilities.

He noted that the initiative opens new opportunities for localizing industries related to the energy sector, adding that the company has identified 10 strategic opportunities for localizing products within its operational ecosystem.

He called on SMEs, entrepreneurs, and investors to participate in the initiative, affirming that Voltamp will provide guaranteed purchase agreements, technical support, and access to regional markets, making the initiative a practical platform for developing a competitive local industry.

The initiative aligns with the Sultanate of Oman’s objectives of promoting local manufacturing, increasing the contribution of SMEs to the national economy, and expanding local added value. It also reflects Voltamp’s efforts to develop more sustainable and flexible supply chains that support Oman’s position as a regional hub for electrical industries and energy solutions.
