Shinas Port Records Strong Growth in Cargo Handling During 2025
Shinas: Shinas Port in North Al Batinah Governorate recorded outstanding performance during 2025, registering notable growth in cargo traffic and handling volumes. This performance reflects the port’s growing role in supporting regional and international trade.
Khater Ali Al Maamari, Executive Director of Shinas Port, stated that the total volume of goods handled at the port reached 813,155 tonnes, comprising approximately 798,785 tonnes of imports and 14,369 tonnes of exports.
Al Maamari explained that the port’s strategic geographical location has enabled it to play an effective role in activating trade movement and enhancing logistical operations.
He added that Shinas Port received a wide range of imported goods, including 25,899 tonnes of building and construction materials, 922.48 tonnes of foodstuffs, and 3,330 tonnes of general cargo, in addition to 13,550 heads of livestock and camels.
With regard to exports, Al Maamari noted that the 14,369 tonnes handled during the year included 103 tonnes of food products, 316 tonnes of building materials, and 7,247 tonnes of general goods, alongside 61,634 heads of livestock and camels.
